A COMBINATION of increased sales and rising traffic through its online business has seen RCG
Corporation, the owners of The Athlete’s Foot and Shoe Superstore brands, lift its full-year net profits by
30 per cent to $8.9 million.
Earnings growth, though, didn’t quite keep with a 39 per cent increase in revenue – up nearly $12million
to $42.3 million – as RCG as opened bigger outlets or converted existing stores to a larger format. It now
has 149 Athlete’s Foot stores and is adding new ones to its smaller Shoe Superstore network.
